Default Most bang for the bucks

Hello.

I am planning on building a new computer.
I have 13000 norwegian kroner.

What is the best buy for that?
I already have keyboard, mouse and monitor.
Must be from norwegian webshop.

thank you in advance.

Wait a sec, we should first convert that amount to USD to get the idea how much money is that, then start searching for norwegian webshops?

well i did both, to save others times it's around $2150.

Basic config(without prices):
MB: Asus P5K Deluxe
CPU: C2D Q6600
VGA: 8800 GTX
RAM: 4GB DDR2 800Mhz
HDD: 500GB
PSU: >=500W(not noname)

The total of the above items is around $2000.

From reading many reviews and articles, reviewers suggest a 550w Power supply when running one pci-express video card and 750w if running two.

These are things to consider and should not be overlooked. As QoH mentioned, go with a good brand Power Supply, as any small error in power can send one/several/all of your hardware parts to the garbage.

Brand names such as OCZ, Thermaltake, Antec, ULTRA also offer very good waranties.

My suggestion if you were to want to build the very best computer one part at a time, would be to write down everything you want and anything you might want in the future.

Then spend a good amount of time finding the best quality motherbaord for now and the future. Keep in mind that everything on a motherboard can be replaced, but replacing a motherboard may require you to replace several other things. Your motherboard is your foundation and one of the most important decisions you will make the first time around.

ASUS definatly being one of the top best

Motherboard and a Quality power supply will be the ground on which your computer will rest on.

CPU is very important next, this should be heavily though of when chosing the best possible motherboard for you. Remember, the more Cores you chose, the more power it will consume and should be considered when purchasing your Power Supply.

Video Cards have come a GREAT way, the VERY MOST powerfull ones at the moment are the 8800 GTX, GTX Superclocked, Ultra and Ultra Superclocked right now by eVGA, most every review will prove this. But NVIDIA might not be for you, the whole ATI/NVIDIA choice is personal, though there is alot of data proving one being one step ahead of the other most of the time.

If you CANNOT afford the 8800 line for NVIDIA, there are some GREAT lesser expensive DX10 video cards that recently came on the market.

RAM: Deffinatly chose DDR2 ram when it comes to here. Chose the fastest your motherboard supports and load it up. Ram is the cheapest and best upgrade you can do for your buck and it will give immediate results.
